THE FLATLANDER FESTIVAL is a 36 year Western Kansas event based on community hospitality, home town pride and spirit which has become an annual event attracting thousands of people.
The Festival joins together different community groups, each holding separate events, over a three day period in Goodland, KS. The Flatlander Festival Committee Coordinates the weekend into the premiere event of North Western Kansas and the
Tri-State Area.
Goodland, KS is located on interstate 70, 17 miles from the Colorado border and 50 miles from the Nebraska border. Participants come from many states and involve themselves in activities as the festival takes over downtown main street.
It's September and that means time for the annual free community Art Walk! We are so happy to again be pairing up with Flatlander Fall Festival to create the very best art festival experience for you!
This year's event will feature the standards that we have come to know and appreciate- art making stations, artists demonstrating their talents, and the sidewalk chalk contest; along with some new features! We are excited to host a small showing of ART CARS as well as the artistic painting of a donated tractor that will be installed as a public art piece and function as signage for the art center.
This year we will also be hosting a beer garden! Make plans today to attend the 6th Annual Art Walk during Flatlanders Fall Festival! We will be located on 12th Street from Main to Center. Festivities start at 10 AM - 4 PM. All proceeds of the Beer Garden will be used to support art initiatives in our community!
Main Street transforms into an 8 Block Festival with many food, product and service booths for the thousands of visitors to enjoy. Booth Space is available.
"Weekend on the Bricks" includes many different Class Awards, Meals, Valve Cover Races, Dash Plaques and much more....
